Application for Executive Board Position

Thank you for your interest in applying for a position on the COACE Executive Board, below is a list of the job requirements. Please read the information below and fill out the form.

Forms must be completed by Friday, August 12, 2022 in order to run for a seat on the board. 


The Executive Board shall consist of the following members:

Election of Executive Board members shall be as follows:

    1. Other than the elected officers, to be elected to the Executive Board, a candidate must be a Building Representative;
    2. The Building Representative from the high schools will elect one member from their ranks;
    3. The Building Representatives from the elementary schools will elect one member from their ranks;
    4. The Building Representatives from the elementary and high schools will elect one member to be the representative at-large;
    5. Selection shall take place at the first Building Representatives’ meeting of each school year;
    6. Should any Executive Board member be unable to fulfill his/her term, which runs the length of the school year, a replacement shall be appointed by the Executive Board to serve the remainder of the term.

The duties of Elementary Representative shall be as follows:

    1. Perform all duties of the building representative as outlined in the building representative handbook.
    2. Attend all meetings (Executive and Building Representative)
    3. Chair 8th Grade Scholarship Committee 
    4. Update, assemble and distribute the scholarship application to building representatives at the December meeting. 
    5. Prepare applications and materials for reading at March Executive Board meeting.  
    6. Notify award recipients and principals within two weeks of scholarship read night. 
    7. Provide the Treasurer a list of winners and schools they will be attending.
    8.   Serve on negotiations and grievance committees
    9.   To assist officers as needed.

The duties of High School Representative shall be as follows:

    1. Perform all duties of the building representative as outlined in the building representative handbook.
    2. Attend all meetings (Executive and Building Representative)
    3. High School Scholarship committees (October) and Chair Sr Margaret Hoffman COACE Graduation Scholarship (March) 
    4. Bring completed High School (November) and Sr Margaret Hoffman (March) applications to the Executive Board meeting to read and choose winners.  
    5. Notify candidates of application status via email  
    6. Notify  principals and scholarship award winners within two weeks of selection.
    7. Provide the Treasurer a list of winners and schools they will be attending. 
    8.   Serve on negotiations and grievance committees
    9.   Assist officers as needed

The duties of Representatives At-Large shall be as follows:

    1. Perform all duties of the building representative as outlined in the building representative handbook.
    2. Attend all meetings (Executive and Building Representative)
    3. Provide snacks for Building Rep and General Membership meetings
    4. Chair In-Touch committee and send out necessary cards within a week of being notified 
    5. Communicate information about the Sister Marie Scholarship to building representatives
      1. Notify candidates of application status via email
      2. Notify principals and scholarship award winners within two weeks of selection.
      3. Provide the Treasurer a list of winners and schools they will be attending.
    6. Serve on Negotiation and Grievance committees
    7. Assist officers as needed
